Originally the company was set up by Johanna Brown and her late husband Mervyn who named the company after their two children. One of them Nicola, still works in the business today. Jasonic was set up to service the vibrant Merthyr Tydfil area which at the time had a large amount of building work being undertaken.

The company ethos remains the same today as it was then and is based on supplying good quality products at very competitive prices, supported by excellent service and reliability.

Jasonic Limited has grown considerably over the past 20 years. Staff retention has been excellent and the company has a supportive and ever expanding database of customers. As a result it was decided to open a second depot in the Taffs Well area of Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Mark Godfrey, general manager of Jasonic comments “We have been looking forward to expanding the business over recent years and identified the A470 as an area to target. Fairfield Business Park was identified as an ideal location given its proximity to Junction 32”.

Mark added “This is a very exciting time for the company and its staff. The feedback from local builders and the general public has been positive so far and we are confident this will continue.” The company opened the doors of its Taffs Well branch on 2nd August 2008.

In August of 2009 Jasonic opened a third branch after successfully winning the tender to supply RCT Homes House Maintenance Unit.  This branch in Pontyclun has been an excellent addition to the business and the two parties are working well together to bring each home up to the Welsh Housing Quality standard.
